Serpentslair.org
was developed in 1996 and is maintained by husband and wife gamers,
Jason Kolodziejski and Tara Clover. Serpentslair began orginally
as a fan site devoted to Ultima Online. Early into our experience
with Ultima, we found ourselves surrounded by like-minded, controversial
gamers, which we spent most our online time gaming with (which
is a lot!). When Ultima implemented guilds into the game, we officially
became the "Family of Silver Serpents." Soon after,
we bought serpentslair.org and have since, continued to
love and devote part of our life to watching both the site and
guild flourish; We have grown and developled histories for each
of the 5 original members, we have kept a timeline of our existences
within each of the MMOG worlds we've encountered and have tried
to document our personal experiences along the way. Serpentslair
has been a great place to share tales. Our interests spam from
RTS, FPS, and MMOG of all types and genres
over a variety of platforms.
Throughout the past eight years and
atleast as many online games, FSS has had the privilage of being
home to and guild of several-hundred people. The forums remain
active, with old friends now, debating life, discussing games,
sharing life stories and wondering what will be the next "Big"
game to take the Serpent's attention.
In the beginning, I learned how to design
websites so that I could give our guild a common place to meet,
outside of the game world. Honestly though, Serpentslair.org
was created because I was so bad at PvP! I figured I had to do
my part in the guild, somehow. ;)
I have been a gamer since I could first
hold a playing card. My favorite game is Chess, with The
Sims coming in at a close second. I consider my all-time gaming
high, meeting Will Wright and being able to interview
him. Cool, ingenious dude. I discovered online gaming in 1996
in a text-based MUD (multi-user dungeon/domain), Dragon
Realms. A few of my favorite games: Ceasar III, Kohan, UO,
Neverwinter Nights.) I set out to have changes implemented for
female gamers and took those issues live,
in 2000 @ Stratics.com.
Besides being a webmistress, I coordinate public relations for
.400
Software Studios, and hold sessions where I assist toddlers
in learning how to use a computer. I love being a wife and mom;
and besides these most important jobs, I consider myself a writer
and am attempting to write my first book. I do yoga each day -
It's all about that mind, body and soul stuff.
