Broken in mind and body, I trudge on. Trying to find myself, a direction I need to go. It seems like months I've been walking. Searching, for something. Unsure of myself, I still wander aimlessly with no purpose. I wage a war in my mind; how can I be searching for something yet have no purpose? Despair is setting in, across the horizon I see that figure in the distance, mocking me. Looking back now, I think of my time in this land. I know my end is coming. Death is stalking me. He is patient.

Lord of Serpents a title, a position. Given to me by my goddess. A heavy burden this is at times. I've warred on Catskills and built a family with my Queen. A tight nit group we were, we fought anyone who defied or insulted the goddess. We were a brotherhood, which could not be broken. I was their chosen leader. We were small, and only consisted of five members in the beginning: Majikal, Octavious, Brendy Trace, Teelo, and myself Druez Traceless.

We had a little house, near the shrine of chaos. Our goddess's altar. The area had a foul taint all around it. We were unswerving. Must cleanse the area. Set it free from the evil ones who lived there. Thus we were driven. We warred for many a day and many a night. Sometimes victorious, more often then not, defeated. We learned and we grew in power.

Octavious soon departed the lands, to be with the serpent goddess. Caligula was born, a product of the sheer power and strength of the goddess, a weapon of darkness, he was the Dark Serpent. Majikal disappeared for a while and returned with mystifying abilities. This day, the Mystical Serpent was born.

Teelo, vanished without a trace.

Monarchs can be strange at times. This monarch was no different. He was a forgiving monarch this Lord British, and he decided to give the entire rival Dread Lords in the lands a pardon. As strange as Monarchs are, gods are no different. No longer would those, who were considered evil and murders be allowed to come to life again, the same as they were. The world was in Chaos. These clans of evil were welcomed back into the cities we fought to protect. They had formed rival houses that challenged us openly for our towns. So were born, the Guild Wars.

FSS was a noble beacon that shined during these early wars. We grew in power and members. We fought every vile and evil guild we could find. We warred these guilds until they disbanded or called for cease-fire. Some of the guilds we defeated chose to come fight amongst us.

A member of a broken guild, simply named "Killer" came to the Queen and pledged himself to her and her only. This day, the position of Queen's Knight was born.

Great councils held ceremonies for those of the light to join together. Too many of them were cowards, they wouldn't declare war on these evil guilds. So many politics going on. A few of these guilds, decided to join and aid us. They wouldn't fight all our enemies, but helped us against the major power of evil; Knights of Nothing, [KoN]. With our combined forces, Seven Deadly Sins and FSS, we won this war. We pushed them out of Skare Brae.

What was notable about this? We found Shira. He came to us during this conflict with the desire to aid us. He was none too reputable, but I could see in his eyes, he had a Serpent Dream guiding him.

Soon after KoN was defeated, fighting and bickering had broken out between 7e and FSS. Majikal was involved in a squabble with their leader. They had healed one of our enemies, while Majikal was fighting him. War was avoided, for the time being but not for long. Our newest family member, Shira was fighting Wrath the leader of 7e. The rest of Wrath's guild, started to help. Thus the war began. I helped Shira; no questions asked. This is loyalty. This is honor. Shira had great courage, I saw this. Looking back now, I never hesitated; I just start helping him. Was it guidance from our goddess that made me instinctively help him?

Now, what was FSS to do? The Dark Serpent, comes to play it seems. 7e, was close to twice our size in sheer numbers. They swallowed a bunch of smaller guilds of similar ideals. Caligula leaves our guild. Shock, dismay set in. Saddened, we went on with our fight against 7e. Many late evenings spent in Skare Brae, fighting our private war. The bond between Shira and me grew. Constantly outnumbered, we learned tactics. Tactics and trickery, plots and plans laid.

Shador the Swift, came to aid us. The goddess sent him down to bring the Serpents Pride. Very brave and never would flight from battle, many a time he paid with his life. A noble Spirit. Him along with his noble lady Apollonia brought pride and joy into the guild.

Eclipse, a former enemy from KoN. We managed to slay him one time, in Skara Brae when KoN was heavily outnumbered. Out of respect we let him bank and be on his way. He was a mouthy fellow and stated he would have slain me one on one. I snickered to myself, and laughed out loud "Anytime". He says 30 minutes at the dungeon of Deciet.

The duel, Both of us were there at the appointed time. Starting at opposite ends of the hall in deceit, we nod in silence. Recognition of each other's honor. It begins, I cast a spell at him, and it comes flying back at me as I expected. He had reflection on; I snicker to myself. The blessing I just received felt like a kiss from the goddess, glorious pleasure but with a deep burn inside. I stride across the corridor as he casts a spell at me, the spell hits me square, as I feel the burn of the magic arrow in me I pull my bow. Shooting at him, and striking him square, I'm suddenly blown off my feet. Stunned and dazed, I call on my goddess to hide me in the shadows. Hidden from sight, I see his belt, lined with these purplish potions. The power of explosion in a bottle. He searches for me and comes closer. I engage him and we fight for what seems like an eternity. Breathing heavy we both disengage. Both bleeding from heavy wounds taken, we nod. A certainty, neither would be the victor if we both fought on. So, we yield to each other.

A short time later during the war with 7e, Eclipse and I run into each other again. KoN is broken and he is without a home. I feel his soul; I know he has had Serpent Dreams. We travel to the shrine where he pledges his soul to the family. He is reborn, the Explosive Serpent.

The war was dragging on, and 7e was becoming more confident. The trap was sprung, the Dark Serpent Struck, and betrayed the leaders of 7e; he had set them up. We had an ambush ready, and took care of them quickly. 7e, was crushed this was a big blow to them. Shira forms the Serpent Death Knights. Caligula is home again.

During this period, we bought a two-story house away from the shrine near yew. We trained, we drilled we fought. We became strong. With probably somewhere around 10 to 12 core family members: Druez the Quick, Ray Odessey, Kiyante, Brendy Trace, Caligula, Shador the Swift, Majikal, Shira, Devlin, Vader, Vex, Killer, Eclipse, Apollonia, MadGod, Warz the Wicked, we prepared and sought guidance from the goddess.

The ORDER WARS:
The knights in the land formed to factions, one group for order, supporting Lord British, the other Knights of Chaos, supporting Lord Blackthorn. We wished to restore order to the land, and bring an end to the chaos. Our goddess is fickle sometimes. To the light we ran and pledge to Lord British to fight the chaos of the lands and restore order once again. We found a group tight nit like ours. The Rough Riders, Steelwolf was their commander, and very quickly a bond was formed, out of trust and respect. Both guilds showed great courage, in their battles vs. the chaos and rebel order guilds. It seems some order guilds found it desirable to attack their fellows in mid battle. They sold their souls to the chaos they fought.

End of Part 1, brief and early FSS history, more stories posted about individual adventures of the guild, and battles to come. This is just a timeline so the reader has an idea, of events and characters. Future stories will detail accountings of characters and actions. Any FSS member might write histories and guild accountings.
