Guild Rankings and Hierarchy Queen/Goddess Ranked Serpent Lords Lord of Serpents / Serpent Death Lord Lord of Serpents Serpent Death Lord Named Serpent Lords Dark Serpent Lord / High Serpent Priest Dark Serpent Lord High Serpent Priest Titled Serpents The elite Serpents. Extraordinary deeds will grant them this distinction. They will have personal titles with “Serpent” included. These are the leaders of the core family members and are treated with honor and respect throughout the family. Leaders of the day-to-day affairs of the guild, they can be called on for aid, to lead, or to fight. Names usually refer to personality traits or certain inclinations. Serpent of Stealth, Serpent of Valor, Pride of Serpents, Serpent of Honor, Serpent of Chaos, Serpent of Law, etc… Great Ceremonies will be held to honor Serpents meeting this level. To end the feast we will mount up as a family and raid one of our rival guilds, till they are all dead or we die trying. In the rare event one of these members leaves or betrays the guild, they will be hunted down. Forever, to be mocked, killed and scorned. Any guild that takes them in is subsequently “kill on site” to all FSS members. NO mercy on those who betray. Serpents Those who have been proven worthy of the family will be grouped based on class. IE. Serpent Knight, Serpent Rogue/Thief/Scout, Serpent Mage/Wizard, Serpent Priests/Cleric/Friars/Soothsayer/ etc…. When someone is promoted from Serpling, to a full Serpent they will give their oath to the Queen for life. There will be a ceremony, in their honor where battles will be fought and ale drank. The Serpent, who is promoted, will fight this night against the Lord of Serpents and the Serpent Death Lord. Once promoted to a Core Family Member, any betrayal or leaving of the family will mean death. You will be hunted down and killed, at least one time. If joining a guild of neutrality, this may cause war between our guilds. Serplings Beginning ranks in the family. They must prove they can live by the code FSS. They must prove loyalty, honor, and no cowardice. Must show us they can be self-sufficient. This period may last anywhere for 1 hour to months. Some may never be accepted in the guild. All new applicants will be considered “Serplings.” You will not get special attention. This is a probation period, where you will be deemed worthy or not worthy. You may leave or enter this ranking freely.
New positions might entail: Lord of the Serpents Song, the leader of our minstrels and bards. This person would also be in charge of our ambassadors and diplomats. Lastly, a title retired for the time being, Mystical Serpent Lord might be reactivated if the goddess delivers us one worthy of the position. The Queen, being a Queen, likes goodies. She is in charge of the merchants and taxes throughout the kingdom. She may appoint someone to be the Lord of the Merchant sector.
