Shadowbane

I think some basic plans of what people are going to be is probably
a good start to planing the Serpents return in Shadowbane. I realize
that for some it will have to wait till after beta but I wonder
what people are thinking as far as:
1) What Race? (excluding the restricted ones)
2) What general type of class people are considering?
3) What goals people are striving for?
My answers:
1) Race I am torn I like half giants and Irekei but a fighter/mage
type class I think is a must in shadow bane. I do not like being
a pure mage and I am a dexer at heart. So what ever race offers
the least resistnece to what I ultimately wish to be.
2) Some type of multi class as for me deversity is the key.
I really want to know more about were (wolves,bears). I would love
to be a midly insane Were Bear/Half Giant/Paladin and roleplay it
as a Dark Serpent Death Knight to the Queen.
3) Pearsonally I never enjoyed the spot light of a large
guild. I want to have a strong small guild of close fighters like
we had in UO. People I know that I can count on in a fight and who
are cool to hang out with in between fights.
What I liked about FSS when I joined was that we stuck up for each
other, we are not afraid to be outnumbered, fought like cornered
rabid dogs and never gave up. What you put into FSS you got back
two fold people helped each other out without begging 24/7. This
kind of fierce loyalty is what made us successfull and what will
continue to provide the backbone of our success.
What I would like to see in Shadowbane is a tight nit group of 20
or so fighters who roleplay here and there. We could roleplay the
queens guard in exile and offer our services to a moanrchy of our
choice becoming an elite type guard. I want to leave most of the
diplomacy to those that enjoy it (the queen of course is free to
partake but I dont wish to play politics). That would free us up
to level like mad men and become an elite unit which will be used
to fighting side by side.
I also do not wish to associate with any do goodie good hypocrits
even if they are well intentioned. I much perfer judging our own
actions as I lean towards a more grey/neutral outlook. I view trying
to be lawful good as an oxy moron.
Lastly, I view our guild as a PvP roleplaying type guild. I do not
mind killing someone for a stupid name, I usually dont smack talk
and I make it a point to limit any crying about unfairness. I enjoy
what having a queen in our guild offers and want to be around people
who are cool to hang with and arent greedy bastards. I dont mind
helping people to learn PvP but there comes a time where they will
have to fly from the nest and hold thier own and give back to the
guild that has help make them.
